Public debates are often becoming more polarized, shaped by the dynamics of social media and, at times, influenced by external actors. Strengthening institutional resilience while preserving open and constructive debate remains a shared challenge across regions.
In Central Asia, parliaments play a key role in shaping inclusive political processes and ensuring balanced decision-making. At the same time, trade unions and civil society organizations are essential actors in representing social interests, promoting dialogue, and contributing to stable and cohesive societies.
FES Central Asia supports exchange and cooperation between parliamentary actors, trade unions, and civil society partners from the region and Europe. By sharing practical experiences and lessons learned, these networks contribute to strengthening institutional capacities, fostering inclusive participation, and encouraging a respectful and pluralistic political culture.
Deepening cooperation across regions can help build trust, enhance dialogue, and support resilient institutions capable of responding to complex social and economic challenges.
